Well, It's taken me some time, but the entryway to my father-in-law house is now complete. This afternoon I installed the final panel (the right sidelight). I was surprised at the difference the final panel made.

As you can see from the picure below, it was a bit of an ambitious project. I didn't realize what I had bit off until I got into it. 12 panels, 11 feet high and almost five feet wide. The side lights alone are more than seven feet high on their own.

I learned a good lesson as well. While the opening for the right sidelight was the right size at the top and at the bottom, it actually bowed in a bit in the middle. So I discovered that it did not fit and spent a fair bit of time planing the opening to make the panel fit. Lesson learned.
This project took almost a year to complete. However, I was off and on the project and completed other projects in between.

It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. I am looking forward to my next project, which is a stained glass window for friends who recently renovated their bathroom and are looking for a bit of privacy. But first I have to build a tree fort for my boys. :)
