A Poinsettia for my mother

My mother turns 70 this year. So what do you get your mother for her birthday? Well we've given her all the golf stuff she needs, sent her to shows, etc. Lil has been asking for a poinsettia sun catcher for awhile. I've decided to surprise her with something a little larger that she can hang in her window at Christmas time.

This one is ~13" wide by 18" high. It will be done using lead came and finished off with an oak frame. The panel has ~60 pieces and quite a few more curves than my usual geometrical abstracts. I'm taking my time with it looking at the glass and determining what textures fit best in each area. The background is Spectrum clear water glass. It's a nice glass and will make the poinsettia appear to float. I'll post more picks as I make more progress.
