I spent a fair bit of time with the piece today and successfully completed the assembly. Here's a picture of the frame ready to accept the sun & moon medallion.
It turned out to be a bit of a challenge. The blue pieces were all a tiny bit too big. So, when I got it together it didn't square up and I had gaps. As a result, it was back to the grinder. I free-handed it taking a bit off of each piece. Here's the end result.
Ignore the pattern lines in the background. The template is off center from the assembled piece. Now all that's left to do is:

- solder the piece
- putty the panel
- clean and polish
As I am out of framing stock I will also need to create some more and then I will be ready for framing and installation.
